My company is a very diverse organization but have decided to improve the culture even more by being more active in the DEI space. By being more inclusive and equitable, putting in place policies to achieve that. There is a ways to go, but they are on the right track.
For me, I think having a positive workplace culture in any organization should be the #1 priority. The first two statements in the article above pretty much says it all. In meetings we always mention or relate something to our mission and values and of course leading by example at all times. We are gearing up for our annual employee engagement survey in the next few weeks with an external firm – Kincentric. Looking forward to the results and how far we have moved the needle up and where we can make further improvements!!
In the Healthcare industry, it is imperative to have a positive workplace culture. The issues we face have a direct impact on the lives of people within our community. We are a trusted resource and ally because our staff are a pleasure to deal with, they are passionate about their work, and wholly support our organization.
