This is a great article. The only other point that I would add is that keeping up on reconciling and keeping your data clean during the year can greatly reduce the work at year end time.
I agree Maureen. Staying on top of things throughout the year and dealing with issues as they arise make the year end go more smoothly. Looking back at something that happened months ago and trying to find the details for reconciliation is much harder than being consistent with it and dealing with issues in real time.
