I would say with the core understanding that we are all administrative functions. We need to strategize more with each other in assuring that our partnerships in an organization remains relevant and future-forward.

I found it helpful to know, understand and communicate with individuals at a personal level to some extent and try and maintain some sort of communication to give each other small updates on a regular basis.
Always trying to explore opportunities to streamline processes with in these teams and keeping each other motivated at all times.

Communication is key. Some of our company core values are always looking for a better way, and to be innovative. We strive to do this daily, does not matter what position you work in. Always looking for ways to streamline better processes and make a leaner work environment.

Its actually been very interesting to see more and more requests and implementations of payroll software integrating with HR management software. Just speaks to the importance of this topic and the expectations of the payroll professional and where the future of this role is going.

Try to build some common ground first, we both want to build efficiency in our job, we care about our employee and we love sharing good ideas.

Communication is key – verbally and email with the ability to understand what each area requires, deadlines, and collaboration.

Just like everything else after pandemic, Hybrid of ways. Have twice a week stand up meeting with my team to get an overview of what needs to be addressed within the team amd how to support the firm and combined with a more intimate conversation, brainstorming with specific individuals that has the main focus on a specific item. I’ve also created a chat within the team to bounce back ideas with each other using MS Teams

My previous company was operating in health care. The collaboration between Payroll, Onboarding and HR has been an amazing experience specially in the covid years.

Communication is so important. Also exploring where we overlap and identifying ways to strengthen our efforts, reduce duplication, and create efficiencies. A better understanding of each other’s roles will help understand the impacts to each role when changes are made.

As always, effective communication is the key in general term. However, in this situation, a special internal stakeholder management / collaboration software or an application with a specific settings under current system makes a huge difference and simplifies the communication in a effective way.

As the HR/Payroll Manager, I work very closely with the accounting department as I handle most accounting items related to payroll. We are in constant communication and strive to ensure our processes are as streamlined as possible.
