I think situational leadership works well within our environment. There are so many moving parts, changing requirements, and things outside of our control (government mandated policies). We need to be able to pivot and adapt. I think sometimes, especially when it comes to legislative requirements, there needs to be stricter leadership in place. Other times, we need to have a collaborative environment, encouraging innovation and autonomy, and relying on staff expertise.
Situational leadership also best suits within my department as well.
We have a very strong and highly skilled team. Laissez-Faire Leaders type leaders best suited within my department.
